Enjoy truly home cooked food in our café with beautiful views

A building with a story

The café building was constructed using wood from an old Scottish corn mill and the seating, tables and counter came from a local church.

Delicious food all cooked daily in our café kitchen. Established in 1987, the café has a well deserved reputation for fantastic, home cooked food. Everything, even the bread, is made by our creative cooks committed to fresh, and wherever possible, fair trade produce. We recycle and compost waste, attempting to be ethical in all things. We serve vegetarian and vegan food.
Fair trade cappuccino, latte, speciality teas, cakes, scones and gateaux, lunches fit for a miller and cream teas are available in a relaxed atmosphere. The views are tremendous. Kingfishers streak along the mill race to the delight of diners.

The menu changes every day.  A selection of dishes you could expect to find -
Yellow pepper and split pea soup with a freshly baked soda roll.
The 'Miller's Lunch' - selection of our famous salads together with a generously topped open wholemeal roll. Toppings include: Brie and cranberry sauce; stilton, grape and walnut; egg mayonnaise and cress; mozzarella and roasted vegetables; mushroom pate; cottage cheese and pineapple.
Baked potatoes with great fillings and a salad garnish.
Hummus with a freshly baked soda roll.
The dishes below are served with either a freshly prepared mixed salad or a baked potato with a green salad garnish.
Homity Pie; Pumpkin fritters served with a pear relish; Mushroom and hazelnut pie; Feta, red onion and pine nut  parcels; Roasted red pepper quiche; Moroccan chick pea and spinach casserole with cous cous.
We always have a Vegan dish available and we are careful to cater for special dietary requirements
Fabulous cakes all day and every day
